FAQ's

Are these live in or work only studios?

The Gorse Mill Studios are work only, no live in.

Are there any owner restrictions?

There are no restrictions on ownership but only artists are eligible to occupy the studios. This allows non artists to be able to purchase a studio on behalf of someone else. There are many reasons why this situation might take place. Studios may be sublet but lessees must qualify as artists. Artists include all the traditional arts and crafts as well as musicians, film and video artists, photographers, graphic artists, web designers, culinary artists, dancers, writers, designers, architects, and other people in the creative arts.

Are there set hours of operation?

Artists have no access restrictions to the building or their studios. The artist association will determine public access hours between the hours of 9AM-9PM Mon-Friday. 9AM-6PM Saturday. 12AM-4PM Sunday. Special events such as open studios, gallery receptions and more are exempt.

Is the building and location safe and secure?

We are in the middle of a quiet and safe residential neighborhood. The building will be locked and secure during non public access hours and each owner has complete control over the security in their own studio.

Are studios available for rent?

Our studios are condominiums and thus purchases take precedence over rentals. However, rentals are available to qualifying artists. Please inquire.

How large are the studios?

Our studios range in size from just over 200sf to over 500sf with the opportunity to combine studios for larger spaces.

How much do they cost?

Studios are priced individually and the remaining available studios range from $72,000 to $229,000.
